Sponsor Spotlight: Facebook

Facebook is a social networking service that launched in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, and his college roommates in a Harvard University dorm room. The website's membership was initially limited by the founders to Harvard students, but was expanded to other colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and gradually to most universities in Canada and the United States,  as well as corporations. By September 2006, anyone of age 13 and older with a valid email address could register a Facebook page.

Recently the company has launched a new program called FbStart, designed to help early stage mobile startups build and grow their apps. They provide an exclusive community, worldwide events, mentorships from Facebook, and up to $80,000 in free tools and services.

We're excited to have joined forces with Facebook in Seattle for the Code Rush and we look forward to their company at the Big Android BBQ.
