The 2015 Big Android BBQ Delivered by Google Developers Takes Texas by Storm

Industry thought leaders, tech giants and developers descend on Hurst, Texas to participate in two-day conference

October 21 2015 - Hurst, Texas -- The Big Android BBQ (BABBQ) kicks off their annual tech conference Thursday, October 22 at the Hurst Conference Center in the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex. The BABBQ will bring together the top industry developers and business leaders to discuss the latest emerging trends in Android and how to formulate best strategies in coding and business development for a two-day conference. With developers and enthusiasts coming from across the country --and the world, the BABBQ will be offering coding workshops for all levels, fireside chats with some of the leading tech giants, intimate networking events, and an experience unlike any other technology conference. The BABBQ is proud to be outrageously entertaining, unique, thought provoking and just a little unhinged!

The event will feature more than 40 engaging sessions that will facilitate in-depth conversations across a range of topics; this year’s theme will be focusing on Android Performance Patterns and how to get the most out of your development environment. Thought leaders and digital trend-setters from Google Developers, Facebook, KiddoEMR, Sony, Honda Developer Studio, Sphero (you know, that Star Wars BB 8 toy that made headlines) and more, will lead a number of sessions and will be available during the conference, and at the networking events to chat.

This year’s BABBQ line-up will include speakers from Google Developers, Sony, Cyanogen, Facebook, Android Central, John McAfee (yes, THE John McAfee), and more. Guest keynote speakers include Googlers Colt McAnlis and Timothy Jordan, who play a big role in the Google Developer Advocacy Program. Some other highlights at the BABBQ include the Code Kitchen where developers of any level can learn and practice their newly found skills for prizes, and the two intimate networking parties where attendees can meet and hang out with the speakers and sponsors.

Fostering the future, the Big Android BBQ is offering free admission for all local high school students to be a part of the experience. The goal of the BABBQ is to inspire enthusiasts of all ages, and to make the tools and resources available and accessible.

The Big Android BBQ would like to extend its thanks to their sponsors: Google Developers, Facebook, KiddoEMR, Honda Developer Studio, Cyanogen, OPPO, IonR, XDA Developers, robin, unnecto, Genymobile, Android File Host, Limefuel, Jolly Roger Roasting Company, Sphero, Hypori, Virgil Security, YipYap, Swappa, NUUu Mobile, Sony, HTC, Purple Squirrel, General Assembly, Blue Stacks, and Jun Group.
