by the top minds from Google Developers, Facebook, Honda Developer Studio and more!

October 13, 2015 - Dallas, Fort Worth-- What began as a small gathering of Android enthusiasts and developers has blossomed into something so much more! In its 6th year, and with the support of Google Developers, Facebook, KiddoEMR, Honda Developer Studio and other industry leaders, the Big Android BBQ developer’s conference is poised to be more impactful than ever.

Taking place at the Hurst Conference Center, just a few minutes from where budding inventor Ahmed Mohammed made international headlines, the International Developers Education and Advocacy Alliance (IDEAA) has reached out and is supporting hundreds of high school students with bright minds and brighter futures through its Bright IDEAATM youth program. The conference, which will be attended by hundreds of Android software engineers and app developers, will host nearly 200 high school students from the Fort Worth area, including those from underserved communities. They’ll be greeted and mentored by the top minds from Facebook, Google Developers, Twitter, Sony, Sphero, and more as they participate in this year’s workshops and programs.

They’ll even get some time in the Code KitchenTM with MIT’s App Inventor developer environment and create their own Android apps!
